Everything you might want to know about monitoring your websites and servers with PingWise. Can’t find your answer? Create an account and raise a support ticket any time.
PingWise is a website and server monitoring service. It checks your websites and servers around the clock and alerts you the instant one goes down, slows down, loses a keyword, or its SSL certificate is about to expire.
Websites — HTTP/HTTPS uptime and status codes, response times and uptime percentage (24h / 7d / 30d), SSL certificate expiry, domain (registration) expiry and on-page keywords. Servers — reachability by ICMP ping or a TCP port (SSH, MySQL, RDP and more). Scheduled jobs — cron jobs, backups and tasks via a heartbeat ping (dead-man’s-switch).
Yes. Create a cron check and PingWise gives you a unique ping URL. Add it to your cron job (e.g. append “&& curl -fsS <url>”) so it pings each time it runs. If an expected ping doesn’t arrive on schedule (plus a grace period), or the job reports a failure, we alert you — catching silent failures like a backup that quietly stopped running. Optional /start and /fail pings measure run time and flag jobs that run too long. No agent to install.
Instantly by email, SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, webhook and ClickUp when a website or server goes down, recovers, or an SSL certificate or domain is about to expire — with an alert email per monitor too.
Yes — build a branded public status page (status.yourdomain) showing the live status and uptime of the services you choose, so your customers can check it themselves.
