Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PingWise website, apps and services (the “Service”). The Service is operated by FTV London Ltd (“PingWise”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England & Wales (company number 07685945) with its registered office at 1 Telegraph Street, London EC2R 7AR. “PingWise” is a trading name of FTV London Ltd. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PingWise monitors websites and servers for availability, response time, SSL and domain expiry, on-page keywords and server reachability, and sends alerts through the channels you configure. Monitoring is provided on a best-efforts basis and depends on factors outside our control (your network, third-party providers, the public internet).

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your login credentials and one-time codes secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly at support@pingwise.co if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • Monitor or probe any website, server, host or endpoint that you do not own or do not have explicit permission to monitor;
  • Use the Service to place an unreasonable load on, attack, or disrupt any system, or to circumvent security or rate limits;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, infringing or abusive purpose;
  • Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service or other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

4. Plans, billing & renewals

  • We offer a free plan and paid plans. Plan limits and prices are shown on our pricing page and may change from time to time.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
  • Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for such taxes.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we may retry payment, downgrade the account to the free plan and pause monitors that exceed the free limits.

5. Cancellation, downgrades & refunds

  • You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your billing page.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; downgrades may pause monitors that exceed the new plan’s limits.
  • Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

6. Availability & disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that monitoring will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every outage will be detected or every alert delivered on time. Alerts depend on third-party channels (email, SMS, chat platforms, webhooks) that we do not control. You should not rely on the Service as your sole means of detecting incidents.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PingWise is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising from downtime, missed or delayed alerts, or your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and content, is owned by FTV London Ltd or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of the data and configuration you submit.

9. Data & privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or where required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
